Skin tags are harmless — but if yours catch on clothing or jewellery, rub or bother you, removal takes minutes and needs no cutting, needles or stitches.

Is cryotherapy right for my skin tag?

Skin tags are soft, flesh-coloured growths that hang off the skin — most common on the neck, armpits, groin and under the breasts.

What are skin tags — and how does freezing work?

Skin tags are small, soft, flesh-coloured growths that hang from the skin on a little stalk. They’re extremely common, completely benign, and tend to appear where skin rubs against skin or clothing — the neck, armpits, around the groin and under the breasts. They cause no harm, but they can catch, rub and knock confidence.

Cryotherapy removes them without cutting, needles or stitches. A precise jet of extreme cold is applied to the tag for a few seconds; the frozen tissue dies and the tag naturally falls away within a week or two, usually leaving little or no mark.

Discomfort is mild and short-lived — a brief sting during the freeze — and you can go straight back to normal activities. Aftercare is minimal: keep the area clean and avoid picking at the site while it heals.

What happens at your appointment

Assessment and treatment usually happen in the same short visit at 124 Frimley Road, Camberley.

2 · FreezingA few seconds of precise extreme cold per tagMild, brief sting — no cutting or stitches
3 · Falling awayThe tag dies and drops off within a week or twoThe site usually heals without scarring; four-week check included

Avoid picking at the treated site — that’s the main way scarring happens. Over-the-counter pain relief is fine if you feel any discomfort afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Does skin tag removal hurt?

You’ll feel a brief sting during the few seconds of freezing — most people find it very tolerable. There’s no cutting, no needles and no anaesthetic needed, and you can carry on with your day immediately.

How long until the tag falls off?

The frozen tag typically dies and falls away naturally within one to two weeks. The site usually heals cleanly, most often without any scarring.

Can you remove several tags at once?

Yes — that’s the most common appointment. The first tag is £69.99 (including consultation and four-week check) and each additional tag treated in the same visit is £29.99.

Why not just cut or tie them off at home?

Home removal risks bleeding, infection and scarring — and the occasional lesion that looks like a tag is something else entirely. A professional assessment first is safer on every count.

Will they come back?

A removed tag doesn’t grow back, but people prone to skin tags can develop new ones elsewhere over time. Cryotherapy has a high success rate per tag treated.

How much does it cost?

£69.99 for the consultation, removal of one skin tag and a check-up four weeks later; £29.99 per additional tag in the same visit. If it turns out not to be treatable, the consultation is free.
