1) What it is for:

Vicks VapoRub is a topical ointment designed to provide relief from common cold symptoms. It’s primarily used for temporary relief of nasal congestion and coughs caused by a cold.

2) Age Restriction:

Vicks VapoRub is suitable for adults and children over the age of 2 years. It should not be used on infants or children under 2 years of age.

3) How to use:

Vicks VapoRub should be applied to the chest, throat, or back up to three times a day, particularly before bedtime. It can also be used by adding a small amount to hot water (not boiling) and inhaling the vapour.

4) Hazards and Cautions:

Do not use Vicks VapoRub on wounds, damaged skin or mucous membranes. Avoid contact with the eyes. In the event of irritation or any allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Do not ingest or use internally.

5) Storage:

Vicks VapoRub should be stored in a cool, dry place, out of sight and reach of children. Always replace the cap after use to avoid the product drying out.

6) Active Ingredients:

The active ingredients in Vicks VapoRub are Camphor (4.8%), Eucalyptus Oil (1.2%), and Menthol (2.6%). These compounds provide the signature cooling sensation and penetrating vapour action that helps soothe and relieve congestion and cough symptoms.
