1) What it is for:

Surgical Spirit is a versatile topical preparation, primarily used for its antiseptic properties. It’s ideal for cleansing and disinfecting skin surfaces before injections or minor surgeries. It can also be used to toughen the skin, disinfect hard surfaces and clean electronic components.

2) Age Restriction:

This product is suitable for use by adults and children over the age of 12 years. It should not be used on children under 12 unless advised by a healthcare professional.

3) How to use:

Apply Surgical Spirit to the area to be treated using a clean cloth or cotton wool. Ensure the area is thoroughly wetted. Do not use on broken or damaged skin. For external use only.

4) Hazards and Cautions:

Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Do not swallow or inhale. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Keep out of reach of children.

5) Storage:

Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.

6) Active Ingredients:

The active ingredient in Surgical Spirit is Methanol 90% v/v. It also contains ethyl acetate and methyl isobutyl ketone.
