Description
1) What it is for:
Premethrin Cream is a topical medication used for treating scabies, an infestation caused by tiny mites known as Sarcoptes scabiei. It works by paralysing and killing the mites and their eggs.
2) Age Restriction:
This product is suitable for adults and children over the age of 2 months. It is not recommended for infants under 2 months without medical advice.
3) How to use:
Apply the cream to clean, dry, cool skin. Cover the whole body, including the soles of your feet, palms of your hands, under fingernails, between fingers and toes, the groin area and buttocks. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Leave the cream on for 8-14 hours (usually overnight) before washing off thoroughly.
4) Hazards and Cautions:
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. This product may cause skin irritation, redness, swelling or itching. If irritation persists or you experience any severe allergic reactions, discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
5) Storage:
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store below 25°C and do not freeze. Dispose of any unused product after the expiry date.
6) Active Ingredients:
The active ingredient in Premethrin Cream is permethrin (5%). Other ingredients include liquid paraffin, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), and purified water.
